General Motors has released new details regarding the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. The first and most important is that the company has announced a new EcoTec3 5.3L V8 engine that will develop 355 hp and 518Nm of torque. This represents an increase of 40 hp and 65 Nm more than the old 5.3L V8 engine.

This engine will allow to this pickup truck to have a capacity of 953 kg load and maximum vehicle load of 5216 kg. What is important is that the mentioned engines provide a significant increase in fuel efficiency, which will be the most 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in its class. GM will offer the 4.3L V6 and 6.2L V8 engine but the engine specifications have not yet been published.
